Pool Table Moves
Broken down, carried up out of the cellar and set up true at the far end.
Saint Louis, MO
Pool table moving, installation and recovering across Saint Louis and both sides of the river.
Here at Saint Louis Pool Table Movers, we understand that the most important part of buying a new or used pool table is how well that it is put together. We have set up thousands of pool tables throughout the years and have seen everything. Some of the tools that we use to ensure the highest level of quality include a machinist level for accurate leveling, a beeswax mixed with resin compound for filling in holes and seams, and composite wood shims that are moisture resistant and don't compress as easily as traditional cedar shims. We proudly serve all of Saint Louis, Missouri and surrounding areas.
At Saint Louis Pool Table Movers, we specialize in pool table move, pool table setup or installation, and pool table recover. Feel free to give us a call with any questions that you may have.
A slate table comes apart into a frame, a bed in sections and a set of rails, and in this city most of those pieces end up below a brick house, on the other side of a cellar stair that nobody designed with furniture in mind. Narrow treads, a low header at the top, and a turn at the bottom into a room walled in rubble stone.
The header is the one people forget. A stair can be wide enough and still have a beam across the top of it low enough that a bed section cannot be tilted through. It is worth putting a tape on that before anything is bought, because there is rarely an alternative route into a cellar.
Down there the walls are stone and the floor is whatever was poured over the years. It makes a solid, cool room for a table and a slow one to level, because the floor rarely reads the same twice across its width.
Moving if the table is changing address, installation if it is staying put, recovering if the cloth has had enough.
Broken down, carried up out of the cellar and set up true at the far end.
Built and levelled where it stands, with cloth fitted.
Old cloth away, new cloth on, and a proper look at the bed underneath.
Three inputs set the price. The table: size, and one slab of slate or three. The route: the cellar stair, the header at the top of it, the turn at the bottom, and the walk out to the vehicle. The room: where it lands and what that floor does underneath it.
An address on the Illinois side is quoted the same way as one in the county. The bridge is the least interesting part of the day.
If the header over the cellar stair rules out the table you have in mind, that belongs in the quote conversation rather than the moment a bed section is stuck under a beam.
